Narsapur Lake

It is one place despite being very near to hyderabad and has all the things a rider wants to see. Decent roads, hills, tribals, a lake and forest.

Its about 40 KM from ameerpet. The lake is beautiful in rainy season, but interesting in summer.

The first time I went to the lake was in summer. The lake has shrunken to 10% of its area. I was able to drive in the dried area. The dry area is covered with some kind of silver colored hard shells, like stars in the sky. White colored cranes are opening the shells and eating the creatures in side. I am no biologist, so I cant tell what those shells are. But they are hard to break and the flesh inside is smelly.

One could drive up on the dam, which ends abruptly. But the farm lands beside it are mystical. I have observed some girls coming down to the dam from the lee side of the hill attached to it. So me and my bike ecplored the way and went down to the farms. There is road through them towards the bigger hills near by lake.

That road will lead to a tiny village of not more than 10 huts. Seems cattle grazing is the lucrative career there. But, amazed to see that almost every hut is equipped with DTH. Yes, india is shining.
After crossing that village, I came across another village, which is better than the previous village. There is a short cut from this village to the main road. Sorry, I dont recall the names of the villages,  but the second one belongs to lambadi tribe.

When I went to the lake second time in rainy season, it took me sometime to find a proper route to the lake through the village.

Hill Park Restaurant near Judcherla

Of late i have been driving on the city roads and my bike begged
me to have a drive on highway where it can give some rest to breaks, clutches and gear and go like a spear throwed at enemy.
Obliging its request, i started on Bangalore highway, after the first toll gate, i found a car in the  first floor of a building as a decorative piece.
While coming back, i stopped to check it out. First of all, its not a dummy car as i have expected.  Some old model car, similar to Volkswagen beetle .  I am not that familiar with cars so i cant really tell what it is.
Its a huge restaurant where customers are allowed to park their cars near the tables. There is a cafe coffee day, just beside it, and some ice cream parlor too. I was admiring the beauty of it with reasonably eatable food in affordable price range, they switched on the lights , revealing its real beauty.
The responce was good, the place is neat including the washroom. The tables are big,  and to my amazement no mosquitos disturbed me.
By the time i got out, the car on the roof is looking great with its parking lights  on. But it became dark and my flashless mobile could not shoot it.
They have two guest rooms so far and constructing more in the back.
Its been there for one and half years and i dont know as i have developed resentment towards NH7 because of my intitial drives on it.

Anyway i have decided to halt at night there, when i made a plan to go in that direction.

Kondapalli fort

Been thinking about having a road trip till Vijayawada since i bought my bike. Everytime, i fill my tank, i get the rush to go there have a coffee and come back.
Finally after, 4 yrs i bought my bike, and 2 years since i developed fear of NH9, i decided to go on this day.

Got up little late in the morning, and waited till my parents went to office, had a shower , collected things which are required , informed Raju about my trip and hit the road.

ImageEverything seems to be fine, till i reached city outskirts. Its a 4 lane road now, considering the distance i have to travel and the limitations of time, i increased speed, when the RPM goes above 5000, my engine is choking for air. But its my bike, it never troubles me much though i treat it like slave. So i kept on going, though the engine is struggling to breath now and then.
ImageAs i have decided not to think at all, the focus is on road and music.

I didnt buy all the necessities like water, food , tablets, goggles etc etc . Bought tablets, water at chowtappal and continued the drive.
The widening of the hyderabad-vijayawada route is  complete except for the flyovers in the major towns. Had lunch at Nandigama and then reached Kondapally fort. Its hardly 8km from the highway and the ghat road is not bumpy.

ImageImageTo reach the fort one has to take a left turn at Nimra group of colleges, which around 3 km before Ibrahimpatnam ring road, to go to kondapally village, take a left at the ring-road. The way to fort is horrible, before the ghat starts. The road is so narrow that, one lorry and a bike cant fit . Before the ghat, the lorries which dump waste from thermal plant, jam the road. Once past them, its heaven again.

It took me 5hrs to reach fort. Not many people are present, and most of them present there came to visit the durgah.

There seems to be small way down the hill to the village, bikes cannot go  and as it became already 4 in the evening, i have decided to skip the village and bought few keychains at the fort fas  souvenirs.
ImageI heard about HP Ghar facilities and found one near vijayawayada boundaries. But to my disappointment it was closed.  And my bike, started breathing easily for a while and then choking for air started. I thought , there must be some problem with the air filters and to prove that i am right, milage went down.

ImageThroughout the journey , i have been informing my friend about my whereabouts. He told me that its raining heavily in the city. And the rain started when i crossed suryapet and i had to drive through the rain for like 100km.

Intoto the journey took 13hrs of my time, around Rs 1400 from wallet , my energy and in return gave me cold and happiness.
